The Graham McKenna-Mayes Memorial Fund was established to honour the life and legacy of local businessman Graham McKenna-Mayes and to support widening participation in higher education. Launched by Graham’s family and close friends, the fund aims to help talented students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds realise their academic potential at The University of Manchester.
The scholarship focuses on supporting students from the Greater Manchester area who are choosing to study Law or Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES).
Essential criteria are criteria you must meet to be considered for this scheme. Students who do not meet this criteria will not be considered for this award. The essential criteria for this scheme are as follows:

The University will automatically assess all eligible applicants and assign the scholarship based on academic merit.
Breaks in funding
This award is not provided during study years abroad, placement years, or if a student takes a study interruption.
Your course offer and this scheme
Receipt of this award is subject to you meeting you course offer commitments and registering at the University of Manchester in the year of entry specified in the application form.
